ICPA Members Support of the YMCA’s Annual Campaign.  The purpose of this campaign is to raise funds to assist individuals and families who cannot afford the full cost of membership and program fees at the Y. Thanks to the efforts and generosity of it’s members, the ICPA was able to donate $2500 to this years campaign.  Read more here.

Scott Moore,  a top senior pro: conducted his second PB clinic, August 26 & 27, at the ODC in Grand Rapids. Scott focused on improving the mental game, shot making, shot selection and learning new strategies.  Scott also emphasized the importance and value of committing time and effort with drills and developing a systematic approach to pickleball.  Read more: here

ICPA Donates to YMCA:  Don Carlson, ICPA President, Carol Perrott, Treasurer, and Donna Hartung, Secretary, presented two portable pickleball net systems and eight paddles to Nick Hansen, Executive Director, and Kris Bolin, Health & Wellness Director, of the Itasca County Family YMCA. ICPA members at the 2019 US Open in Naples, Fl!  Congratulations to ICPA members Kevin (Armstrong) and his playing partner for their fourth place finish in MD, 4.0 and Micki (Petersen) and Kevin for taking  the Bronze Medal in 4.0, MXD!! Well done to both!

ICPA Members do well at Gitchi Gummi!! Congrats to Itasca County Pickleball Association members for representing us well at Duluth’s inaugural Gitchi Gummi Pickleball Tournament 10/13/18.  Here are the ICPA winners!  3.0 MD – Phil Strege and Terry Sullivan, the Bronze.  3.5 MD – Ron Storlie and Kevin Armstrong, the Silver.  3.0 WD – Katherine Strege/Robbie Sullivan, Consolation and  Bin Carlson/Sue Kowprowski, the Gold.  3.5 WD – Carol Perrott/Ann Will, a Bronze.  And in 3.0  MXD – Phil/Katherine, the Gold and Robbie and Terry, Consolation.  WELL DONE TO ALL!!

ICPA joins PickleBall Club Rewards Program — There are hundreds of local pickleball clubs popping up across the country and Pickleball Central wants these clubs to grow and multiply, so they’ve created a program called ClubRewards. ICPA members receive 5% off everything they purchase from . When checking out type in our club’s discount code, CRICPA, in the coupon code box, hit the “apply” button and you’ll see 5% of the bill disappear! Every time a member uses our club’s discount code, 5% of the purchase goes into our club’s fund. In February they’ll send our club a gift card for the value of whatever is in the club’s Reward Account from the preceding year. The gift card can be used toward the purchase of anything Pickleball Central sells.
